I remember spending hours playing on the hill with Roy at Soren Lane. Everything was a huge adventure and a battle to be conquered. We rode bikes down the jagged edges of the dangerous side just to prove that we weren’t afraid. He was always stronger than me and I really admired that.
We drifted apart for a few years in my 20s, but when I called him he picked up right away and took a chance. That meeting allowed me to reconnect to a lost part of my family. I will always be grateful for that.
Roy got me my first handgun, gave me advice on weapons, and always wanted a hug when I left. Our last conversation was about getting a sword for my daughter’s graduation pictures. He really wanted to surprise her with that in person, but his time came too soon. He was my cousin and I will miss him dearly.
Roy was a ray of light only few have ever had. His endless love continues to show and will last ever more in our hearts. We know Roy is resting in peace with his beloved wife, Valorie, and his heart is full again. The world has lost two of the brightest stars ✨
